Line of Events
"Star Trek: Below Decks" focuses on the support crew serving on one of Starfleet’s most insignificant ships, the USS Cerritos, in the year 2380. Midshipmen Mariner, Beumler, Rutherford, and Tandy must juggle their duties and social lives, often while the ship is rocked by a host of sci-fi anomalies. The ship’s bridge crew includes Captain Carol Freeman, Commander Jack Ransom, Lieutenant Shax, and Doctor T’Anna. It is the second animated spin-off of the franchise, following the 1973-74 Star Trek: The Animated Series, but it has a distinctly older tone and humor.
